The Wisconsin state GOP planned to impeach, convict, and remove Justice Janet Protasiewicz– after she won her election in April by a landslide 11 points. They …want her gone because Justice Protasiewicz is set to hear cases on gerrymandering, abortion, and voting rights that threaten to loosen the GOP’s power in Wisconsin. In 2020, Wisconsin came closest to overturning the presidential election results. Without Justice Protasiewicz on the bench in 2024, the GOP could succeed. This is an unprecedented attack on democracy: the state GOP wants to override the will of the people and undo the results of an election.
